Pet-Me-Now-PleaseHi everyone! It’s Kobe today.  If you have canine members in your family, have I got fun stuff for you to do!  And they both help the APL so all our animals win!  On Saturday, March 2, our friends at Q 104 are putting on the Dog Gone Easter Egg Hunt.  It is an Indoor Dog Walk!  Doesn’t that sound fun?  It takes place on at 8 am (Registration at 7:30 am) at SouthPark Mall in Strongsville.  Admission is free if you make a donation to the Cleveland APL, and you get lots of great stuff, including photos with you and your dog with the Easter Bunny, refreshments and treats for both of you, and a chance for your pooch to search for Ozzy-022312biscuits hidden in Easter Eggs.

But the most important part of the event is you can learn how you, your kids or your school can help the APL by raising Doggy Dollars and Kitty Kash for the 8th annual Pledge for Pets Radiothon!  That wonderful event is coming up on May 10 and 11, and we want everyone to get involved!  I am not going to the dog walk because, frankly, I am not a dog.  Ozzy is considering it, however, because he loves to play with the plastic ties that come on the big boxes of paper for the copy machine. In fact, I have seen him—don’t deny it Ozzy!—grab on to the end of one of those ties and be walked around the administration area here at the APL just like a dog.

And we also have something fun for you and your pooch that very next day on March 3.  It is the 5th annual Pucks and Paws event at the Lake Erie Monsters game!  You can bring your dog (I sense a trend here, hmmm!)  The proceeds from the sale of the dog tickets benefit the APL, and for you humans, please buy your tickets using the APL flyer or link, and we will get a portion of the human ticket, too!  And make sure you arrive early because the first 250 dogs will receive a special giveaway item!  Go Monsters!

Donation-HelpOurFriendsOzzy and I will close by reminding everybody, as always, please tell everyone you know to come down and adopt!  All the animals in our shelter deserve a Happily Ever After!

Love and purrs,

Kobe and Ozzy
