Hi everyone, its Ozzy here! Happy New Year! We hope you had a great holiday and are working hard on keeping your resolutions. So far, I’ve kept mine and am finding a new box almost every day to crawl in and make my own. Kobe is keeping his, and has been learning how to use the computer, but he still has some work to do. Hopefully, it won’t be long until The Wonderful Adventures of Kobe and Ozzy will be on your bookshelves!
Most importantly, we are both definitely keeping our resolution to work even harder to get all our animal friends here at the APL into loving homes. I want to tell you about Hazel, a rabbit who has been here since August! She is a two-year-old white rabbit who has been waiting patiently to find her new home. Don’t forget – rabbits are social, can be litter box trained, and make great pets!
And then, there is Kaley, an 11-year-old cat who has been here even longer than Hazel. Kaley has proven herself to be very patient. Can you believe she has been here since July? Kaley is a sidekick and will make great company for her new family. Kaley, Hazel, and all of the other great animals here at the APL need a loving home, so we are asking you to please come visit soon to meet them!
I have to say that we have a jam-packed 2013 ahead of us. Not only will we be celebrating our 100th-birthday, but we also have a lot of fun events planned, including our annual calendar contest, Pucks & Paws at the Lake Erie Monsters game and the WKYC-TV3 Fur-Get-Me-Not Telethon in March, the Pledge for Pets Radiothon in May Puppypaloozas at Cleveland Indians games this season; Cold Noses, Warm Hearts (Fur Ball) in November, and I’m sure there will be plenty more for us to tell you about as the year goes on. So stay tuned!
Keep checking our website and, of course, keep reading our blog to find out what’s happening this year at the Cleveland APL.
Until next week…
Love and purrs,
Kobe and Ozzy
