Hi Everyone, It’s Ozzy! There is a lot going on at the APL this week, so let’s get right to it. First of all, we want to say thank you to all of the dogs and their “people” who came to Puppypalooza at Progressive Field on Monday. Kobe and I heard 349 dogs were there – that’s A LOT of dogs! Kobe and I didn’t go—we watched on TV, and it looked like a lot of fun! Make sure you Save the Date! Puppypalooza 2 takes place Monday, September 9. I hope you and you pup can attend and join in the fun! Have you sent your pet’s photo in to our Pet Calendar Contest? If not, you still have time! The deadline to enter is July 26th. Check out all of the details about entering our 2014 Pet Calendar Contest here!
Finally, we would like to tell you a special story from right here at the APL that you might have seen on the news. The story involves a special cat named Lurlene and a pup named Noland. Last week, a newborn pit bull puppy was brought to the APL. Because Noland was rejected by his mother, the staff here decided that his best chance of survival was to put him with Lurlene, a mama cat, and her litter of four kittens. Amazingly, Lurlene took Noland right in with her kittens and is caring for him as if he is one of her own. This is just one of the amazing things that happen every day here at the Cleveland APL!
Well, it’s about time for our dinner so until next week…
Hugs and purrs,
Kobe and Ozzy
