Corona came into the APL in the arms of her owner. She had gotten out and was probably hit by a car. Corona’s owner could not afford to pay for the vet care she so desperately needed so he brought her to the APL. She had exposed bone on her leg, but despite her very serious injuries, Corona was wagging her tail and giving kisses to the APL staff members. That behavior continued even during her exams, as the veterinary staff assessed the extent of her energy. All Corona wanted was to do was give kisses and wag her tail. Unfortunately, her injuries were too severe to save the leg, and it had to be amputated. True to form, Corona was up right after her surgery, trying to learn how to balance on three legs! Only one day after being made available for adoption, Corona found her forever home!
