Priscilla is a 1-year-old cat who was brought to the Cleveland APL very pregnant. She gave birth to her litter while at the APL, but unfortunately none of the babies survived. Shortly afterward, Sam, a day-old kitten, arrived at the APL. Normally, a kitten that young would need constant care in order to survive. Because Priscilla’s body had prepared to feed and care for kittens, the veterinary team decided to try placing Sam with Priscilla. Once introduced, Priscilla made the loving decision to care for Sam and raise her as if she were her own!
