Elvis, a one-year-old Toy Poodle, was surrendered when his owner could no longer care for him and arrived very underweight with signs of stomach distress. After being placed in a foster home on a special diet, he began to gain strength. While in foster care, Elvis developed a frequent limp, and a veterinary exam revealed a painful condition in both rear legs causing knee instability. A specialist recommended surgery, and Elvis successfully underwent bilateral leg surgery at a specialty clinic. During recovery, a clinic staff member fell in love with him and adopted him, and he is now thriving in a loving home thanks to your support of the Cleveland APL.
