Fur Ball

Thank You for Supporting Us at Fur Ball 2024 – Tails of the Wild West

More than 400 guests helped us to raise more than $358,000 to benefit the APL’s Second Chance Program during the Cleveland Animal Protective League’s annual gala, which was held both in-person and virtually on Saturday, November 2! Our host, Monica Robins from WKYC and our auctioneer, Karolyn Isenhart welcomed guests to the InterContinental Hotel for the most tail-wagging event of the year.

In-person attendees had a great time and enjoyed “paws-ing” at the many food stations as well as bidding on fabulous items in our live and silent auctions, while virtual guests were able to bid on auction items and enjoy our Fur Ball program from the comfort of their own homes. All guests also learned about some very special animals whose lives were saved because of the medical care and expertise the Second Chance Program allows us to provide.

Save the date and join us again next year for Fur Ball 2025 on Saturday, November 1, in-person at the InterContinental Hotel Cleveland and virtually! Didn’t have the chance to attend? You can still give!

About Fur Ball

As a nonprofit organization, we rely on donations to care for our animals. With costs increasing, we need your help more than ever, especially with animals who come to us with more complex, expensive medical or surgical needs. That means the animals who arrive through our doors need you, too—animals who are sick, injured, or have special needs. Whether they are surrendered by their owners, are brought in by Good Samaritans, or rescued by our Humane Society Agents from situations of abuse, abandonment, or neglect, we believe that every animal who comes to us deserves a chance to survive, to heal, to grow, and to start a new and happy life with a loving family.

The Second Chance program, funded solely by donations, is one way we can give these animals that chance. It is because of caring people like you that we can provide access to life-saving medical care to animals in need who come to us for help.

At the Cleveland APL, we are no longer simply a shelter for homeless animals and victims of neglect and abuse. Our newly remodeled facility is now an animal resource center that includes a state-of-the-art medical clinic with the ability to offer life-saving care to animals in need. But, to have the most impact and meet the incredible need for these services, we will need your continued support.

With your help, we not only will continue to provide life-saving medical and surgical care, vaccines, and medications to animals in need, but we can look toward our future—a future where our ability to provide innovative medical treatments can grow and flourish.
