Thank you for contacting the Cleveland Animal Protective League about a group volunteer activity.
The Cleveland Animal Protective League is a private, nonprofit humane society that has been serving the animals and people of Cuyahoga County since 1913, and we are honored you chose us for your group volunteer project. As you might imagine, we receive numerous requests for projects every year, and we try to work with as many as we can, but given our limited staff resources and/or lack of impactful project work, we may not be able to grant every request. Requests that are submitted with less than one month in advance notice may not be granted.
Group volunteer opportunities are for smaller groups of adult volunteers and may be limited depending upon our needs and timing of the request. We do not offer youth group volunteer activities as we do not have a humane educator on staff. Please keep in mind that group volunteer opportunities do not involve work with our animals or clients, and advance notice is required. Group volunteer opportunities are typically those assignments that are easy to train and that are able to be completed in a day or less.
Each group member will be required to arrive and depart on time as scheduled, sign a one-time event waiver, wear a volunteer name tag, and follow instructions for their group project work at the Cleveland APL.
