September 30th & October 1st. Adoption fees REDUCED or WAIVED!
Humane societies in Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Medina and Summit Counties along with the rescue group PAWS all feel so strongly about the need to help black cats that they’re teaming up this Friday, September 30th and Saturday, October 1st for the “Everything Goes with Black” cat adoption promotion and are waiving the adoption fee for one black cat per household!
Sadly, black cats are the most likely to be overlooked by potential adopters and left to spend the most time in shelter cages and rescue group foster homes. So in response, six animal welfare organizations from across the region have come together to send a strong message in a unified voice that these wonderful animals deserve their chance just as much as their other feline pals!! The spotlight will be on them for these two days … it’s their turn now! Through this groundbreaking collaborative effort, we are hoping to send hundreds of cats home before the end of day on Saturday.
Adoption fees will be waived for one black or predominantly black adult cat per household adopting (one year old and up). A second black cat and all other kittens and cats will be $20. As always, potential adopters will be screened to make sure they’ll provide a good home for these wonderful animals. All available animals are neutered/spayed, given age appropriate shots, tested, de-wormed and flea treated.
