Dog owners and their pets can enjoy a night of baseball and fun at the ballpark Cleveland Indians partner with the Cleveland APL and the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District.

CLEVELAND, OH — The Cleveland Indians invite all four-legged friends and owners to the return of Puppypalooza at Progressive Field on Tuesday, August 23. Fans can bring their dogs to the ballpark and cheer on the Tribe as they play host to the Seattle Mariners at 7:05 p.m. The canine only event debuted at Progressive Field last year and is once again in partnership with the Cleveland Animal Protective League (APL). Puppypalooza is presented by PUP! – Pick Up Poop Program of the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District. The evening will be filled with activities, pet vendors and fun for your favorite pooch! A portion of the proceeds from each Dog Package will benefit Cleveland APL.

Dog owners, along with their “best friends,” will be entertained by the theatrics of Jake “The Diamond Dog” and other dog-friendly activities. Owners and dogs (300 dog maximum) can also participate in a special on-field Puppypalooza Parade during pregame ceremonies. Veterinarians from Banfield Pet Hospitals will also be available during the event.

There are two ticketing options for attendees to enjoy Puppypalooza:

  •     Dog Package tickets for the event are $30, one (1) person for every one (1) dog only.
  •     Additional human tickets are $15 each. *Seats are limited and subject to availability. Dog packages are expected to sell out quickly!

Dog owners must show proof of proper vaccination day of event and complete a liability waiver prior to entrance into the ballpark. Puppypalooza tickets can be purchased and waivers available at any area Indians Team Shops, Indians Box Office or online at indians.com/puppypalooza.

Fans and their dogs should enter Progressive Field at the Carnegie Tent entrance (corner of E. 9th St. and Carnegie Ave.) beginning at 5:00p.m. day of game. Doggie pools, water dishes and a dog-walking area will be available throughout the game.

Required Vaccinations:

You MUST bring a copy of your dog’s vaccination records.

All dogs must be up to date on the following vaccinations:

  •    Rabies – given annually, but sometimes can be a 3 year.
  •     DHLP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza) – given annually.
  •     Parvo – given annually, many times this is included in the DHLP and indicated as DHLPP.
  •     Bordatella – given either every six months or annually. Sometimes referred to as: Kennel Cough OR Tracheobronchitis.

Cleveland Animal Protective League (APL)

Located in Cleveland’s Tremont area, the Cleveland APL is the largest, nonprofit humane society in Ohio. The APL is not governed by any national animal welfare organization. It receives no government funding for operations; it relies on donations to investigate and prosecute animal cruelty and provide shelter and care for thousands of homeless animals each year.
