The Cleveland APL teams up with seven other animal welfare organizations to help black cats during the “Everything Goes with Black” super adoption event on October 5th and 6th  ADOPTION FEES ARE REDUCED or WAIVED!

Humane societies in Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage, and Summit Counties and the rescue group PAWS all feel so strongly about the need to help black cats that they’re teaming up this Friday and Saturday, October 5th and 6th for the “Everything Goes with Black” cat adoption promotion and are waiving the adoption fee for one black cat per household!

Black cats are the most likely to be overlooked by potential adopters, leaving them to spend more time in shelter cages and rescue group foster homes than other cats. In response, seven animal welfare organizations from across the region are coming together to share a strong message in a unified voice that these animals deserve their chance, too! So, the spotlight will be on black cats for these two days, and through this wonderful collaborative effort, we hope to send hundreds of cats home before the end of day on Saturday.
