The cats at the Cleveland Animal Protective League are celebrating a March Madness that’s all their own! Everyday they are competing with each other to win the heart of someone looking for a special companion. The competition is heating up and this Saturday only, the first “Sweet Sixteen” cats to get adopted will go home for only $10. All cats adopted after the “Sweet Sixteen” will be available for only $20. Regular adoption fees are $95 for kittens, $45 for adult cats, and $30 for senior cats.
“Each and every one of our cats is sweet,” says Sharon Harvey, Executive Director of the Cleveland APL, “so the competition to get chosen for a home is often heated. But, they have a can-do attitude, keep their whiskers in the game, and always try to put their best paw forward. We keep catching them doing “practice drills” so they can master plays such as the paw reach, the big purr, and the head butt. All they really want is to move to the next “bracket” and into someone’s heart and home. To help them with their quest, we’re lowering our adoption fees.”
All animals are spayed-neutered, tested for heartworm and/or FeLV/FIV, have received age appropriate vaccinations and treatment of worms and fleas, and come with helpful species-specific animal care information, 30 days of free pet health insurance, and a free initial veterinary exam. Cats/Kittens come with a travel box and dogs/puppy adoptions include a collar, tag, and leash. Dog adoption fees are $55 for senior dogs, $85 for adult dogs, and $150 for puppies, All adoptable animals can be seen on our Adoptions Page.
