The Cleveland Animal Protective League’s “Furry Days of Christmas” adoption promotion will kick off on Monday, December 9th with a very special visit from the popular rock band, the Plain White T’s. In the spirit of the Plain White T’s hit song, “The Giving Tree,” the band is giving back to the Cleveland Animal Protective League by promoting animal adoptions. Before performing at Q104’s “Holiday Ho Show” at House of Blues Monday evening, the Chicago based band, along with Q104’s Fee’s Kompany, will be stopping by the Cleveland APL’s beautiful adoption center and shelter in Tremont at 2 p.m. to take photos with adopters and their new furry friends!

In celebration of the exciting kick off to the APL’s “Furry Days of Christmas,” adoption fees on Monday will be reduced for all animals with white on them.  White or partially white adult cats and bunnies will be available for only $10 and white or partially white adult dogs for only $65. The two weeks following Monday’s kick-off will feature a variety of other adoption promotions that will be announced on the “Cleveland Animal Protective League’s” Facebook page. (Regular adoption fees are $45 for cats, $95 for dogs, and $25 for bunnies.)

“We’re so grateful to the Plain White T’s and Q104’s Fee’s Kompany for helping us to raise awareness about finding our animals their homes for the holidays,” says Sharon Harvey, President and CEO of the Cleveland Animal Protective League.  “We hope greater Clevelanders will want to be the “giving tree” for very deserving homeless animals this holiday season.”

All animals adopted from the APL have been spayed-neutered, tested for heartworm or FeLV/FIV, have received age appropriate vaccinations and treatment of worms and fleas, and come with helpful species-specific animal care information, a free initial veterinary exam, a collar, personalized ID tag, and are eligible for 30-45 days of free ShelterCare pet health insurance. Cats and kittens come with a travel box, and dogs and puppies go home with a leash.  All adoptable animals can be seen at www.ClevelandAPL.org or by downloading the Cleveland APL’s IOS adoption app from the iTunes store.
