A canine Match.com that helps adopters find their perfect four-legged mate
It’s Spring at the Cleveland APL, and along with the arrival of scores of litters of kittens and puppies comes a new way to pick your perfect canine match.
The APL will be using the ASPCA’s® Meet Your Matchä Canine-ality™ adoption program to help adopters find their perfect canine mate. This innovative program involves a “personality assessment” for every dog that determines their “canine-ality” – or canine personality. The canine-ality’s are color-coded purple, orange, or green with purple dogs being quieter and a little more low key, orange dogs being middle of the road, and green dogs being energetic and on the go! Adopters will take a fast, fun survey that determines their color and what type of canine-ality will best suit their lifestyle. What happens if an adopter falls in love with a dog that’s not their color match? No problem. Sometimes the perfect match is what the heart dictates, but at least there won’t be any surprises!
To celebrate the offering of Meet Your Match Canine-ality at the Cleveland APL, every adopter who completes the adopter survey on Saturday April 4th and Sunday April 5th and selects a dog that’s a match will be given $10 off the price of their adoption and the chance to win a starter pack of dog or cat supplies. All adopters, regardless of whether or not they adopt of dog that’s their color match, will receive a free bag of Science Diet, an APL calendar, and can microchip their new pet for only $10 – a 50% savings!
The feline version of Meet Your Match – Feline-ality – was implemented at the APL late last year, so if you’re not in the market for a dog, you can also come down and meet your purr-fect kitty companion.
