Community Fundraiser Guidelines
Promotion:
The Cleveland APL will not release our mailing list to external organizations. However, we may be able to list your event on the “APL Events” section of our website and/or promote it on our social media platforms and in email blasts to supporters.
Adoptable Animals:
If this request is for an offsite adoptions event or for the Cleveland APL to bring adoptable animals to an event, please contact our Offsite Coordinator at OffsiteAdoptions@ClevelandAPL.org.
APL Resources:
Unfortunately, due to our limited resources and the number of requests we receive, it is likely that
we will not be able to send staff or volunteers to attend your event or set up a booth at your event.
Insurance and Liability:
The Cleveland APL cannot provide liability insurance or coverage for your event. The APL accepts no liability of any kind for any activity or action resulting from the efforts of you or your organization on behalf of the APL. The fundraising organization is responsible for securing any necessary permits or licenses.
Solicitation:
The Cleveland APL relies on the generosity of local businesses throughout the year to provide vital support for our work. If your event plan includes soliciting local businesses for either cash or in-kind support, please include a copy of your prospect list with your application. Your prospect list will be reviewed by the Development Department to ensure your solicitations do not conflict with existing APL relationships or development plans.
