“On the twelfth day of Cat-mas my true love gave to me an adorable rescue kitty!” The festive felines have been meowing their kitty carols since December began, and the staff at the Cleveland Animal Protective League has decided to help them get their most wanted holiday gift—a new home—a little early this year! On Saturday December 12th and Sunday December 13th, all cats and kittens in the shelter will be available for only $20.
“It’s time to get these cats and kittens home for the holidays,” said Sharon Harvey, Executive Director of the APL. “Many shelters used to discourage people from adopting during the holiday season as they feared that schedules would be too busy or animals would be returned after the excitement of the new pet wore off. However, we have found the opposite to be true and it’s our belief at the APL that if we continue to educate our adopters about making a life-long commitment to their adopted pet, then together we can continue to save even more lives—even during the holiday season.”
All cats are spayed-neutered, tested for FeLV/FIV, have received age-appropriate vaccinations and treatment for worms and fleas, and come with a travel box, helpful species-specific animal care information, a free initial veterinary exam, and are eligible for 30 days of free ShelterCare pet insurance.
